Scoperta grazie al passaparola, Katie Melua sta cantando nel nostro ufficio ininterrotamente da ieri. Il suo album “Piece by Piece” sta riscuotendo successo, con le sue sonorità Soul e Blues, espresse in tutte le sfumature che il genere consente, da vellutate e malinconiche melodie a rauchi Rithm and Blues come la cover di “On the road again”. Curiosamente, la canzone meno… rappresentativa è quella che stanno lanciando, ossia “Nine million bycicles”, che però è carina e ha un testo semplice e… diretto. Eccone la traduzione.

Quando prendevo la macchina per andare a trovare mia madre in ospedale accendevo RTL 102.5 VNP e sentivo sempre questa canzone. Mi dava serenità. Continua a piacermi anche ora che non più nessuno da andare a trovare…
